But i will start with my day, had a sports match in the morning which i could have really done without as i havnt had a good nights sleep in about 2 months, but that all changes tonight, heavenly long sleep :). After that i saw some friends which was great as i jadnt seen some of them in a very long time so it was good to have a catch up.
OK boring part over now.I HAVE to talk about the new CW show 90210. OMG it is incredible. You cannot watch it over here on the television, so i have resulted in watching it on the internet. Sad i know but it is addictive. I never really got into Gossip Girl which i thought was a bit of a shame as it had gott'n so many great reviews. But 90210 i loved from the very first episode ( of the new version) the drama that it shows really relates to so many people, even if we arnt drug addicts of unbelievebly rich, there are still so many topics in the show that you can relate to, aswell as light comedy. One thing in the show that does confuse me is, the main characters are suppost to be 15. Well Shanae Grimes who plays Annie in the series is 18 and looks nothing like a 15 year old. Another thing is that in the last episode that i saw, which was episode , 4 of the main characters were drinking alot of alcohol, just by themselves on a sleep over. I am deffinitey not the most innocent person when it comes to alocohol. I drink at parties, but not away from them. I do get drunk and i do, do some things that i regret, but o well it is part of growing up, but still should this been shown on television where people younger then myself will see the show and look up and admire the 15 year old characters who are seen getting drunk and having sex. Post your thoughts on this in the comments below, i really want to know your views. and if you dont watch the show i fully recomend it. You can see most episodes on YouTube and if you cant then there are some websites you can watch them all on, just type in 90210 on google and it will come up with like a zillion links.
Wow i wrote more on that then i expected.Ok so, now for the exciting part....POLITICSwell probably extreamly boring part for many but for me it is the best. So i am not such a typical british teenager. I have an obsetion with politics, but mainly american politics, and i find alot of boaring things exciting. Even though i am british i still follow american news and politics very closely, more so then the country that i live in.Now, as you know the the U.S presidential election has come to an end, with the election of Barack Obama as the new president of the united states. For about 4 months i had been following this election very closely. Every newspaper and alot of research and campaigning. I had been rooting for Obama to win from the first day, and it is hard to explain the excitement on the morning of 5th november to hear that my wish had come true. I truely believe that the American presidents decisions will effect how the whole world runs, so this was a very important election for everybody. I am kind of worried tho, about the fact that Obama may have only been voted as president because he is black, and people did not want to seem racist. I do hope not, i truely think that he had the best ideas out of everybody. Alot of people complain about the fact that he used to take drugs in university, but you know, nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes, there just the ones he has made, and he sure has maken up for it in the past 2 years. He has great ideas for the country and the world that will make it a much better place. The fact that alot of adults and politicians think that 16 years olds are not interested in politics and would always make the wrong decisions is utterly stupid. Im 16, and therefor cannot vote, not even for the priminister in my country but i have followed the election and done more campaigning then alot of american adults who are able to vote. We all have a right to change the world, why dont we try it. You wont loose anything. So for any 16 years olds who think im wiered for believing all of this, grow up, your the next generation and one day you will have to make the same decisons as your parents and teachers, you will have the responsibility so why not try practicing now?right that was all alot longer then i thought it would be so im just going to go, until i next write, have a good day/night wherever you are. and help Obama make the changes that we deserve.
